Heiskell Alumni News

Chris Boyd 2006

Congratulations Chris on NCAA Signing Day.  We will be watching Vanderbilt football and cheering for you!

Ariel Saltin 2006

Congratulations Ariel, for receiving an appointment to the US Air Force Academy.  Our prayers go with you as you embark on this wonderful journey.

Thorne Winter 2006

Thorne tells us that he loved the Heiskell School and attended from the age of 3 until he was 12 years old.  He said they were the best years of his life.  Since leaving Heiskell, Thorne has been pursuing the art of film making.  His short film "Hero" was nominated to win the Susan B. Anthony "Lia's Challenge" pro-life video contest and was one of six finalist.  Congratulations, Thorne!  

Christine Goslin 1999

Christine is currently working on a Master in Biblical Studies at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.  Keep working hard Christine and make us proud.

Matthew Whitney 1985

Matthew reports that after leaving Heiskell he went on to graduate for Kennesaw State University.  He now works for Cisco Systems in Raleigh, NC and lives with his wife and 2 sons.

 

MVCA Alumni News

Michele Ross Harbaugh 1991

Michele started at Heiskell in the 1st grade and graduated from MVCA.  She tells us that Mrs. Stith and Mr. Leatherman were some of the most influential people in her life.  She is now teaching middle school math, high school math and Bible at a private school in Bluntville, Tennessee.  She and her husband J.D. are celebrating 15 years of marriage.  They have one son in the 2nd grade.  Michele also says that Proverbs 22:6 is still her favorite Bible verse.

Kristen Shunk Perkins 1988

Kristen also attended Heiskell 5th - 7th grade.  She graduated from the University of Auburn with a B. S. in Elementary Education and again in 1993 with an M.Ed. in Special Education.  She lives in LaGrange with her husband Richard and their son Dirk.

Keith Hynds 1987

Keith has been married for 16 years to his wife Emily, a math professor at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.  Keith works for Unishippers, Inc.  They have two children and stay very busy with their school and sports schedules.

Carin Beebe Dixon  1980

Carin says she has been back in town since 1990.  She has five children and three dogs.  She is a paralegal for a law firm in Sandy Springs.  Carin loves dogs and is a certified dog trainer.  She volunteers her time helping to rescue dogs.  She enjoys finding old classmates on Facebook and is looking forward to a 30th reunion.

Kelly Pipkin Doucette 1978

Kelly is a veterinarian in Pittsburgh, PA.  She loves to travel and often visits Switzerland.  Kelly has two children and says that her parents are doing well and retired near Hilton Head Island.
