Softball

Each Spring students from grades two through eight participate in an intramural co-ed softball leauge.  Junior High students fill the roles of team captians and equipment managers.  The team captians organize their teams, determine the batting order, and decide where each team member will play when their team is in the field.  The older students help the younger students learn softball skills and softball rules.  Spectators at the games include parents, relatives and students from the afternoon program.  The season begins in March and continues through May.  Games are schedules after regular school hours.  Boys and girls in 2nd - 8th grades are invited to participate.  In the event of rain, the teams play whiffle ball in the school gym.
