Admissions

The Heiskell School is an independent, non-denominational Christian school accepting boys and girls from two years of age through the eighth grade without regard to race, color, religion or national origin. Candidates for kindergarten through junior high must successfully complete the entrance test required for admission. The school reserves the right to deny admission to any student not meeting the standards of the school. New students are accepted throughout the year when space is available.
We invite you to attend one of our Open Houses. At this time you will have an opportunity to tour our campus, talk to administrators, and observe our children in their classes. If you are unable to visit us, please feel free to call the Admissions Office for more information at (404) 262-2233 or email us: admissions@heiskell.net. Admission procedures are listed below.  You can also email any questions or comments and request an application for admission using the form below.

  • Complete and return the application form and application fee of $75.00 to the school within 7 days after attending an Open House.

Need-based financial aid is available on a limited basis. Request for the appropriate financial aid forms should be made through the business office at the time you apply.

Step 2: Testing/Evaluation

  • Register for the appropriate testing for your child:

Two-year through Four-year classes do not require testing.

Step 3: Interview/Observation

  • Schedule a parent interview (required for parents of all new students) with Cyndie Heiskell, Director.

  • Schedule a student observation or interview at the school.

Student Observation not required for Two-year and Three-year classes.

Student Observation required for the Four-year class through Grade 3.

Student Interview required for Grades 4-8.

Step 4:  Admissions Decision

  • The admissions decision for your child will be mailed to you once all admissions requirements are met.

Step 5:  Enrollment

  • Upon receipt of an acceptance letter, parents must sign the 2008-2009 Enrollment Contract and pay the non-refundable Enrollment Registration Fee within 10 days after receiving the acceptance letter. This will ensure your child’s place on the permanent roll for the 2008-2009 school year.
